Authorities first learned about the incident after calls were received about two groups of men shooting guns in an empty parking lot. Police units went to assess the situation, but the people had cleared out by the time they arrived. However, they found shell casings and a trail of blood in the parking lot.

Later Saturday night, a man was found dead at a local clinic after sustaining multiple gunshot wounds. Police believe he was involved in the parking lot shooting. Another male came to the hospital with gunshot wounds, and he claimed to have come from the same parking lot. Both victims are believed to be between 18 and 22 years old.

Investigators are working to determine if a rifle was used in the gunfire exchange, as ammunition from several calibers was recovered from the lot.

One suspect is currently in police custody, and he was arrested at the hospital.
